The Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (EM NP/PA) plays an integral role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care within a dynamic emergency department environment. This opportunity is offered on a contract basis for qualified Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) with recent emergency medicine experience. The EM NP/PA will work within a regional hospital that serves as a Level 3 trauma center and maintains a medium acuity emergency department with an annual volume of approximately 32,000 visits. The facility is supported by a comprehensive team of board-certified emergency physicians and a robust array of specialty services, ensuring a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

The EM NP/PA will be expected to provide coverage for a minimum of five shifts per month, with flexible scheduling options that include a variety of day and night shift times. The role requires proficiency in all standard emergency room procedures and the ability to manage a range of patient presentations across the acuity spectrum. The emergency department is equipped with Meditech electronic medical records (EMR) for efficient documentation and care coordination. Full credentialing support and expedited onboarding are available to facilitate a prompt start for new team members.

Qualified candidates must hold an active state license or compact license, maintain a current DEA registration (or be willing to transfer), and possess up-to-date certifications in ATLS, ACLS, and PALS.
