Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (EM NP/PA) - Summary
- Join a startup emergency medicine team with a go-live date of December 2, 2025.

- Provide comprehensive emergency medical services in a high-acuity setting.
- Work within a coverage model featuring a team of 30 MDs and 18 NPPAs daily.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history, physical examination, and diagnostic testing, in the emergency department.
- Develop and implement care plans in coordination with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
- Initiate and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests as necessary for patient evaluation.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide advanced life support, including ACLS, PALS, and BLS interventions as needed.
- Participate in case presentations, documentation, and maintenance of accurate and up-to-date case logs.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for emergency care, including adherence to supervising protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and confidentiality at all times while delivering efficient and effective care.
- Engage in continuous professional development and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certification: AANP or ANCC for Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs); NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants.
- Current DEA registration with Controlled Substance Prescriptive Authority (CSPA).
- Valid and current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
- Ability to provide case logs as documentation of clinical experience.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system preferred.
- Commitment to adhering to established supervising protocols and clinical guidelines.
