The EM NP/PA will work alongside board-certified physicians and fellow advanced practice colleagues to support a busy emergency department, serving approximately 14,000 patients annually. Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (EM NP/PA) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with acute and urgent conditions in the emergency department.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform clinical procedures within the scope of licensure and hospital privileges.
- Work collaboratively with emergency physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document all patient encounters, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
- Participate in case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental meetings to enhance emergency department performance.
- Respond to emergent situations and perform life-saving interventions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical standards of practice.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Virginia medical license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Valid DEA registration for practice in Virginia.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine or a relevant specialty as required for advanced practice providers.
- Ability to provide case logs demonstrating relevant emergency medicine experience from the past two years.
- Strong clinical acumen, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering compassionate and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
