Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (EM NP/PA) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide direct care to patients presenting with acute medical conditions in the emergency department
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures within the scope of practice
- Document patient encounters using the Epic EMR system in an accurate and timely manner
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training
- Ensure compliance with supervising protocols and clinical guidelines to maintain patient safety and quality of care
- Maintain detailed case logs as required by regulatory and credentialing bodies

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) via AANP or ANCC, or Physician Assistant (PA) certification via NCCPA
- Active DEA registration with CSPA
- Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Ability to provide case logs demonstrating relevant emergency medicine experience
- Familiarity and experience with Epic EMR is preferred
- Compliance with supervising protocols as established by the department
