Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (EM NP/PA) - Summary- Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed emergency department within a critical access hospital
- Collaborate with onsite physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Work daytime, 12-hour shifts with no on-call or telehealth obligations
- Manage moderate patient volumes with approximately 13,000 annual ED visits
- Participate in a supportive and resourceful healthcare environment
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and initiate appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Stabilize and manage patients presenting with a range of acute and emergent medical conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform necessary procedures within the NP/PA scope of practice
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to hospital protocols, guidelines, and best practices for emergency medicine
- Maintain compliance with continuing education and certification requirements
