Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests
- Document patient history, clinical findings, and treatment plans in the medical record
- Prescribe and administer medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated patient care
- Respond to emergencies and participate in resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill patients
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of application
- Recent emergency medicine experience within the past six months
- NP applicants must hold a DEA with Controlled Substance Prescriptive Authority (CSPA) registered to a local address
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by ANCC or AANP required for NP applicants
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
