In this full-time contract opportunity, the Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for delivering care in a 24-hour emergency department within a community acute care hospital. The facility boasts a 49-bed capacity and manages an annual emergency department volume of approximately 22,500 visits. Shifts are scheduled as either 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., allowing for coverage across all hours to address the needs of patients presenting with a wide range of acute and emergent health concerns.
The Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) is required to be board certified through the ANCC, AANP, or an equivalent certifying body. An active state license, along with a valid DEA and controlled substance registration, is necessary for this position. Additional certifications such as ATLS, ACLS, and PALS are required, reflecting the broad spectrum of patients and procedures encountered in the emergency department.
