Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to those presenting with a wide range of emergency medical conditions.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage both adult and pediatric patients with medium acuity in a busy emergency department.
- Perform standard emergency room procedures such as suturing, intubation, central line placement, and other urgent interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians and subspecialty consultants for comprehensive patient care.
- Work scheduled shifts (9am–7pm and 4pm–2am) and be available to cover at least three shifts per month.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and care provided.
- Participate actively in department meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and unrestricted state license to practice as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in emergency medicine.
- Board certification required.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in an emergency room setting.
- Current DEA registration in the state or willingness to transfer credentials.
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, covering at least three shifts per month.
