The Electronics Repair Technician plays a critical role in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing faults in electronic and mechanical hardware as well as software systems. Working primarily at the component level, such as on PCBAs (printed circuit board assemblies), this position utilizes advanced diagnostic tools and schematics to determine root causes of complex technical issues. The Electronics Repair Technician is responsible for reworking, replacing, and repairing faulty components—such as surface-mount technology (SMT) devices and integrated circuits—ensuring that all repairs meet stringent quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with engineering teams to enhance product reliability, support new product development, and drive improvements in manufacturing processes.
As an Electronics Repair Technician, you will set up and operate sophisticated test equipment—including oscilloscopes and other measurement devices—to validate repairs and confirm the proper function of hardware and software. You will also be responsible for maintaining detailed documentation of repair activities, recording failure data, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product quality. Electronics Repair Technician - Summary- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in electronic and mechanical hardware and software systems.
