Electrician - Summary
The Electrician position is responsible for a wide range of installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on commercial and industrial job sites. Electricians interpret blueprints, adhere to strict safety regulations, and use specialized tools to ensure all electrical systems meet industry standards and codes. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to function independently or as part of a collaborative team. Electricians are essential for delivering quality workmanship, maintaining job site safety, and supporting efficient project timelines.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install conduit, wiring, electrical panels, fixtures, outlets, switches, and related electrical components according to electrical codes and project specifications.
- Pull, route, and label electrical wiring through conduit, ceilings, floors, and underground systems to ensure proper connectivity and system performance.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend conduit using hand and power tools to ensure precise installation and fit.
- Install electrical boxes, lighting fixtures, and associated hardware to support building functionality and safety.
- Perform underground rough-in work, including trenching and backfilling, as required by project scope.
- Terminate panels, transformers, junction boxes, and other electrical equipment for safe and reliable operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings to ensure correct installation and troubleshooting.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Load, transport, and stage materials and equipment to support efficient workflow and meet project deadlines.
