The Electrical Estimator plays a crucial role in supporting project managers and business development teams by providing detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical projects. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be instrumental in the bidding process, ensuring that all estimates are completed on time and adhere to company standards and financial objectives. This is a full-time opportunity based in Mount Joy, PA, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Electrical Estimators are responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation to develop thorough and competitive bids. Your expertise in evaluating time, cost, materials, and labor requirements ensures that projects are scoped accurately from the outset. By leveraging your industry knowledge and strong analytical skills, you will help the company maintain its reputation for delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions to clients across industrial and commercial sectors.
In the role of Electrical Estimator, you will work closely with clients, vendors, engineers, architects, contractors, and internal teams. Your ability to foster positive relationships and communicate effectively with all stakeholders is essential to the success of each project. You will consult with various parties to resolve issues, formulate estimates, and make informed decisions regarding production or procurement of components.
Another key aspect of the Electrical Estimator position is the establishment and maintenance of robust supplier, contractor, and subcontractor directories. You will meticulously prepare and update these directories to ensure the company has access to the best resources for every project. Additionally, you will implement and manage cost monitoring and reporting systems, providing valuable insights for project reviews and helping to optimize margin strategies.
Throughout each project lifecycle, the Electrical Estimator collaborates with project managers, foremen, and safety managers to ensure clear communication of expectations and deliverables. You will participate in project handoff meetings, provide ongoing advice to project managers, and contribute to project debriefs to drive continuous improvement. As a subject matter expert in using Vista and Accubid software, you will leverage technology to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of your work.
