Electrical Engineer PE - Summary
- Serve as a technical expert for electrical power and low voltage system design in a full-time capacity.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pre-design field surveys and site assessments to inform electrical system planning.
- Prepare detailed site assessment reports and compile technical data for project development.
- Develop schematic designs, single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, and circuit layouts tailored to specific project requirements.
- Perform advanced electrical calculations, including arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, and load flow analysis using ETAP or SKM software.
- Select and specify lighting fixtures, power equipment, and design lighting and power circuiting, ensuring seamless integration with lighting control systems.
- Develop fire alarm layouts compliant with NFPA 72 and International Fire Code, including risers, sequence of operations, and system calculations.
- Produce comprehensive construction documents, including enlarged plans, elevations, schedules, and diagrams, applying CAD/BIM standards and ensuring code compliance (California Electrical Code, Title 24 Energy Standards).
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, leading internal teams and engaging external consultants.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering professional development within the team.
- Lead project proposals, contribute to business development, and maintain strong client relationships to support ongoing and future business opportunities.
- Oversee construction administration, including reviewing and responding to RFIs and submittals, conducting field inspections and punch walks, and ensuring project execution aligns with design intent and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional electrical engineering experience, with a preference for backgrounds in commercial, healthcare, or institutional projects.
- Demonstrated experience in leading design efforts and managing engineering teams.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP or SKM, and Revit software.
- Familiarity with HCAI (Healthcare Access and Information) standards is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple project deadlines effectively.
