This Electrical Engineer (EE) position is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly in the design, integration, and testing of electronics for defense and rugged environments. Electrical Engineer (EE) - Summary
- Lead and execute the design, development, and testing of advanced electronic systems, including PCB and FPGA-based solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components, ensuring seamless system functionality.
- Support system integration, verification testing, and troubleshooting for defense and aerospace projects.
- Drive the implementation and optimization of engineering processes and best practices.
- Provide technical leadership, conduct design reviews, and advise on complex electronic system challenges.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the full design cycle of PCB and FPGA-based electronic systems, ensuring timely project completion and adherence to budget constraints.
- Coordinate hardware and system integration efforts in collaboration with design engineers and project teams.
- Participate in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and implementation of corrective actions to ensure system reliability.
- Design and review cable and harness assemblies for military applications, focusing on shielding, grounding, and connector selection.
- Develop and refine engineering processes, procedures, and best practices for consistent quality and performance.
- Conduct risk assessments, design reviews, and technical evaluations for complex electronic systems.
- Advise teams on electronic design challenges and system integration strategies.
- Design and implement 3-phase cable assemblies and PLC cable assemblies for high-reliability environments.
- Create electrical wiring diagrams and detailed work instructions for assembly teams.
- Utilize lab test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, and spectrum analyzers to validate designs.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within defense or aerospace industries.
- Demonstrated proficiency in NFPA 70/NEC, ASME Y14.100, and documentation of cable assemblies and electromechanical equipment.
- Experience with verification testing to military standards such as MIL-STD-464 and MIL-STD-810.
- Hands-on experience with system integration and testing at platform or subsystem levels.
- Strong working knowledge of circuit, cable, and harness design, including drawings, wire selection, shielding, and military connectors.
- Proficiency in test instrumentation, data acquisition, and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience using Altium, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and EDMS for design and documentation.
- Ability to support customer data administration, including AML, BOM, and ECO entries into PLM systems.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if not already possessed.
