Electrical Engineer (Full-time) Position Overview
Our client, a highly recognized and award-winning engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team. This full-time role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in electrical design, particularly in the area of lighting systems. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and documentation of electrical systems, contributing to a variety of innovative projects. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems, with a focus on lighting circuiting and lighting controls, according to project specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation using AutoCAD and Revit MEP to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and project managers to deliver high-quality results within established timelines.
- Assess project requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and recommend solutions based on technical analyses.
- Participate in the preparation and review of project proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including Title 24 where applicable.
- Engage with professional organizations such as IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) or IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) as needed.
- Assist in mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field required.
- 2-4 years of experience in electrical design, with emphasis on lighting design and controls.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP is required.
- Familiarity with Title 24 and relevant electrical codes is preferred.
- Experience with lighting circuiting and lighting controls is strongly preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Membership or association with IES or IEEE is considered an asset.
