The Drupal Technical Lead will take charge of defining and implementing technical standards and best practices for all Drupal projects. You will lead a team of developers, guide module selection and integration patterns, and directly participate in hands-on coding, theming, and custom module development. As a subject matter expert in both backend and frontend technologies, you will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of digital platforms. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the Drupal Technical Lead ensures seamless integration with RESTful APIs, third-party systems, and content delivery networks, leveraging Acquia tools and modern development workflows.

Drupal Technical Lead - Summary- Lead and manage complex Drupal projects in enterprise and government environments
- Establish and enforce technical standards, coding best practices, and efficient development workflows
- Leverage expertise across Drupal 8/9/10, custom module development, theming, and integration
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions
- Define and implement coding standards and technical best practices for all Drupal-based projects
- Oversee selection, customization, and integration of Drupal modules and themes
- Lead architecture, hands-on development, and maintenance of custom modules, APIs, and system integrations
- Optimize site performance, caching, and content delivery using Acquia and related tools
- Guide CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance through platforms like GitHub Actions, Acquia Pipelines, and Jenkins
- Mentor and support junior developers, conduct code reviews, and foster knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Ensure ongoing security, scalability, and compliance of all digital platforms
- Participate in sprint planning, project estimations, and progress reporting

- Minimum 8 years of experience with RESTful APIs, integrations, and decoupled/headless Drupal
- At least 8 years of experience in website design and development
- Proficient with CI/CD pipelines including GitHub Actions, Acquia Pipelines, Jenkins (8+ years)
- Hands-on experience with Drupal 8, 9, and 10 (minimum 5 years)
- Strong command of PHP, Symfony, Composer, Drush, Git, and modern front-end technologies (minimum 4 years)
- Proven leadership experience in guiding technical teams and delivering complex Drupal solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to architect scalable, secure web environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
