Distance Learning Support Specialist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support, monitor, and enhance distance learning technologies, particularly Blackboard LMS.
- Provide timely technical assistance and troubleshooting for videoconferencing platforms, including WebEx, as well as productivity software like Microsoft Office 365 and Google Apps for Education.
- Participate in strategic planning and continuous process improvement initiatives to further develop and optimize distance education offerings.
- Conduct training sessions tailored to instructional staff, assessing their technological needs and ensuring effective support delivery.
- Utilize help desk ticketing systems to log, track, and resolve technology-related issues efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in distance education support, with an emphasis on K-12 and TCSG system standards.
- Contribute to the development of documentation and resources for end-users, facilitating self-service and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate's degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of three years of experience in a similar support role; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in Blackboard LMS and familiarity with help desk ticketing systems.
- Demonstrated experience with videoconferencing tools and productivity software such as Office 365 or Google Apps for Education.
- Previous experience supporting educational technology in K-12 or TCSG systems is strongly preferred.
