Director of Institutional Reporting - Summary
As the Director of Institutional Reporting, you will oversee all facets of state and federal data reporting for a leading higher education institution. This includes managing the collection, analysis, and submission of critical data to agencies such as the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and maintaining high standards for data integrity. The position requires strong leadership skills, as you will supervise a dedicated team of reporting professionals. Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end state and federal reporting processes, including data collection, analysis, and timely submission to regulatory agencies.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3 to 4 professionals specializing in data analysis and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as student services, the registrar's office, data analytics, and human resources to ensure comprehensive and accurate data gathering.
- Maintain strict adherence to higher education, state, and federal reporting regulations, with a strong focus on data integrity and confidentiality.
- Utilize advanced data analytics to streamline reporting procedures and provide actionable insights for institutional leadership.
- Act as a subject matter expert regarding state (THECB) and federal (IPEDS, NSF) reporting requirements, updating processes as regulatory standards evolve.
- Implement and refine best practices for data management and reporting, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the institution.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as education, business administration, statistics, or information systems.
- Extensive experience managing full-cycle reporting processes for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
- Demonstrated success in supervising and developing professional teams, including setting goals and resolving conflicts effectively.
- Strong understanding of higher education reporting guidelines and compliance requirements, including experience with federal reporting platforms like IPEDS and NSF (preferred).
- Familiarity with Ellucian Banner or comparable student information and human resources systems (preferred).
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to diverse stakeholders.
