Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of senior accountants to achieve high performance and professional growth
- Drive the integration and optimization of ERP systems, focusing on process modernization and increased efficiency
- Oversee all aspects of month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness
- Ensure strict compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and all relevant tax reporting requirements (federal, state, and industry-specific)
- Partner with Operations, Finance, and IT to align systems and support informed decision-making
- Deliver actionable insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis initiatives
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and business partnership across the organization

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting leadership experience
- Proven background in fuel distribution, logistics, or other asset-heavy industries preferred
- Demonstrated experience in ERP implementation (Vertrax, Oracle Fusion, or similar platforms)
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and build trust within teams
- Skilled at simplifying complex processes and fostering collaboration across departments
