We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dimensional Inspector to join our team. The Dimensional Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough evaluations and inspections of in-service landing gear and hydraulic components, ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and FAA regulations. The Dimensional Inspector will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety by performing visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools. This position requires collaboration with machinists, operators, technicians, and department leads to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, guaranteeing that all maintenance activities are fully documented and compliant with OEM and regulatory standards.
As a Dimensional Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that every article is maintained in accordance with the customer's continuous airworthiness program. Your expertise in reading and interpreting technical data, blueprints, and engineering drawings will be essential in implementing repair schemes and verifying that all work conforms to internal and external requirements. Dimensional Inspector - Summary
- Responsible for visual and dimensional inspection of landing gear and hydraulic components
- Ensures compliance with customer, OEM, and FAA requirements
- Collaborates with machinists, technicians, and department leads to resolve technical issues
- Maintains thorough documentation of all maintenance and inspection activities
- Implements technical data into repair and maintenance schemes
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform evaluation and disposition of in-service landing gear and hydraulic components for wear and corrosion
- Use measuring tools such as micrometers, gauges, and indicators to conduct dimensional inspections
- Support the maintenance of articles in accordance with the customer’s continuous airworthiness program
- Work closely with machinists, operators, and technicians to troubleshoot and solve technical issues
- Ensure all maintenance activities are documented per internal, customer, OEM, and FAA requirements
- Document maintenance performed on work orders, travelers, bill of materials, picture sheets, and maintenance logs
- Implement technical data from customers and OEMs into repair schemes
- Identify different plated surfaces, including chrome, nickel, cadmium, and thermal sprayed coatings
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, CMM/OHM's, and shop travelers
- Set up, load, and adjust machines and equipment as needed for inspection processes
- Follow established procedures, practices, and inspection methods relevant to aerospace maintenance

Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and understand English fluently
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools including micrometers, dial bore gauges, telescope gauges, height gauges, and indicators
- Ability to program CNC operations using Fanuc programming language
- Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting OHM/CMM's, blueprints, shop travelers, and sketches
- Ability to identify various plated and thermal sprayed surfaces
- General knowledge of machine setup, loading, and equipment adjustment
- Practical experience with procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in aerospace repair stations
