Dialysis RN – Summary
- Provide acute hemodialysis care to hospital patients requiring renal replacement therapy.
- Deliver treatments in multiple hospital campuses as part of a coordinated, multi-site acute care team.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver hemodialysis treatments to patients in acute hospital settings, including intensive care units and specialized dialysis units.
- Travel between assigned hospital campuses to provide clinical coverage as needed.
- Integrate specialized renal care within Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facilities as required.
- Manage a flexible schedule, which may include extended shifts and late completions to meet daily patient treatment volumes.
- Participate in a weekly and monthly stand-by/on-call rotation to ensure patient coverage during evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and provide patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation of all dialysis procedures and patient responses.
- Ensure infection control protocols and hospital safety standards are followed at all times.
