This position offers the flexibility to work from any location while providing essential radiology services to multiple healthcare facilities across Southern Illinois, operating on Central Time. As a Diagnostic Radiologist specializing in remote coverage, you will play a crucial role in supporting general radiology needs, ensuring timely and accurate diagnostic interpretation for patient care teams. As a Diagnostic Radiologist in this remote position, you will be responsible for a broad range of imaging modalities. The role includes interpreting X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, mammography, MRI, nuclear medicine studies, interventional radiology procedures, and fluoroscopy exams. You will leverage advanced tech platforms, including RPCE and PowerScribe 4.0, to ensure efficient and seamless reporting. While trauma level I experience may be occasionally required depending on the covered facility, no fellowship is necessary for this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telehealth radiology and a reliable remote workstation, ensuring consistent service delivery during Central Time hours.
The remote Diagnostic Radiologist (ABR/AOBR Board Certified) role is structured for long-term coverage, with a regular schedule of 7 days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST, including holidays during your scheduled weeks. There are no on-call responsibilities, providing a stable and predictable work schedule. The position is compensated at a competitive rate per RVU, with additional overtime available for work beyond standard daily and weekly hour thresholds. Credentialing typically takes up to 90 days, ensuring a comprehensive onboarding process for the new remote Diagnostic Radiologist.
