Diagnostic Radiologist (MD/DO) - Summary
- Interpret a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and mammograms.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses.
- Utilize advanced imaging technology and stay current with industry best practices and innovations in radiology.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines within the imaging department.
- Provide patient-centered care, ensuring comfort, privacy, and clear communication throughout the imaging process.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and interpret diagnostic images, including conventional radiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasound studies.
- Generate detailed and accurate radiologic reports for use by clinical teams in patient management.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute radiologic expertise to inform treatment planning.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in radiology by participating in continuing medical education (CME) opportunities.
- Adhere to best practices regarding radiation safety and patient confidentiality.
- Assist in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to the development of imaging protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent.
- Active, unrestricted medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure in North Carolina.
- Demonstrated expertise in the interpretation of diagnostic imaging across multiple modalities.
