The Diagnostic Radiologist (DR) will play a key role in providing comprehensive imaging services across inpatient settings. With a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM and no on-call or weekend requirements, this position supports a healthy work-life balance. Alternatively, candidates may opt for a 7 on/7 off shift structure, offering enhanced flexibility. The minimum commitment is five shifts per month, making it an ideal opportunity for radiologists seeking either a consistent or more adaptable schedule.
Responsibilities include interpreting a range of diagnostic imaging studies such as plain films, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, MRI, CT, and ultrasound. The workload typically consists of 60% cross-sectional studies and 40% plain films, with an average of 50-100 cases per day. Proficiency in all areas of diagnostic radiology is required, and additional skills in limited interventional radiology (LT IR) or mammography are valued but not mandatory. Board Certification or Board Eligibility (within five years of training completion) is essential, and an active Florida medical license is required at the time of application.
The Diagnostic Radiologist (DR) will utilize Cerner EMR for all patient documentation and workflow management. Privileging is expected to be completed within 120 days, with temporary privileges available for candidates with a clean background and credentialing file.
