Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound Tech, RDMS) - Summary
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures for patients of all ages in an acute care medical facility.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct abdominal, OB/Gyn, and vascular ultrasound imaging evaluations following established clinical protocols.
- Review patient histories and physician orders to ensure the appropriateness of requested imaging studies.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and readiness for patient use.
- Document findings, prepare imaging reports, and communicate critical information to physicians and care teams.
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to infection control and quality assurance guidelines.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training sessions.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree in Ultrasound Technology or graduation from an accredited Sonography Program (bachelor's degree preferred).
- Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
- Minimum of two years’ experience preferred; strong new graduates from accredited programs will be considered.
- Texas Medical Board Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license or ARDMS certification required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, patient-focused environment.
- Excellent communication, technical, and organizational skills.
