Qualified candidates must hold an associate degree in Ultrasound Technology or have completed an accredited Sonography Program; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), as well as current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification, are required. The ideal applicant will have at least two years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, but strong new graduates from accredited programs will also be considered. Additional credentials such as Texas Medical Board – MRT or ARDMS certification are necessary for employment. The health system is open to considering candidates for both permanent and temporary-to-permanent roles.
