The Dental Hygienist (RDH) plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of oral health care and supporting the overall mission and values of the organization. As a Dental Hygienist (RDH), you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including patient education, thorough intra-oral and extra-oral screenings, prophylaxis cleaning, and polishing of teeth. You will also perform root scaling and planing for periodontal disease in accordance with established protocols and under the direction of the supervising dentist. Dental Hygienist (RDH) - Summary
- Provide patient education on oral health best practices and preventive care.
- Conduct intra-oral and extra-oral screenings for all patients as part of routine check-ups.
- Carry out prophylaxis cleaning and polishing of teeth to maintain patient oral health.
- Perform root scaling and planing procedures for patients with periodontal disease as per dentist direction and established protocols.
- Adhere to all compliance protocols, policies, and procedures of the dental center.
- Support the dental center's mission, vision, and values through high-quality patient care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive dental hygiene services, including assessment and treatment planning.
- Educate patients about oral hygiene, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
- Utilize dental software such as Dentrix and other required platforms for record-keeping and patient management.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to coordinate patient treatment and follow-up care.
- Attend continuing education sessions provided by the dental center to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Ensure all clinical procedures comply with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment in the dental operatory.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist in Massachusetts.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Proficiency with Dentrix and other dental practice management software preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in continuing education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
