The Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of goods to customers while upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This full-time position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations by efficiently transporting items, primarily linens, between the company facility and customer locations. As a Delivery Driver (Non-CDL), you will be required to maintain an impeccable driving record and strictly adhere to all company policies, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and safety protocols. This role is integral to maintaining strong customer relationships through reliable service and a courteous demeanor.
As a Delivery Driver (Non-CDL), you will be expected to wear the company-provided uniform and present yourself in a professional manner at all times. A neat and organized work environment is essential, both inside the delivery vehicle and at customer sites. Routine vehicle inspections and cleanliness are a key part of daily responsibilities, ensuring all equipment is kept in optimal condition for the safety of both the driver and customers. You will promptly report any mechanical issues to your manager and comply fully with safety standards to prevent accidents and maintain operational integrity.
In this position, attention to detail is crucial. You will be responsible for accurately loading and unloading linen carts, tagging each one appropriately to ensure proper tracking and inventory management. All paperwork, logs, and documentation must be completed thoroughly and submitted daily as part of the delivery process. The ability to weigh and document soil loads correctly, disinfect vehicles after each soil pick-up, and turn in Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection Reports are essential aspects of the job.
The Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) must be physically capable of lifting loads up to 50 pounds and maneuvering wheeled carts weighing up to 700 pounds. Flexibility in scheduling is important, as the role may require early evening, weekend, or holiday shifts to meet operational needs. Maintaining a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required, as is passing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check.
