The Delivery Driver – Non-CDL plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely delivery of products to customers according to company standards and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. This full-time position operates primarily during evening and overnight hours, supporting the organization’s commitment to exceptional customer service and safety. As a Delivery Driver – Non-CDL, you are responsible for maintaining a clean driving record, adhering to all company policies, and upholding the principles of professionalism and safety on every shift. Working as a Delivery Driver – Non-CDL, you will be required to adhere to all company protocols, including those outlined in the employee handbook. This includes maintaining a professional appearance with a full uniform, keeping company equipment and vehicles clean and organized, and following all attendance guidelines. In addition, you will report any mechanical issues promptly to the appropriate personnel and strictly follow all universal precautions and safety procedures, particularly when handling soiled materials.
Key to success in this role is your ability to complete all required DOT documentation and certifications thoroughly and accurately. You will also be expected to identify and report any problems that may arise regarding customer satisfaction, service delivery, or vehicle performance, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly to maintain the company’s high standards.
To qualify for the Delivery Driver – Non-CDL position, you must be able to work second-shift hours, including weekends and possibly holidays. A valid driver’s license and an unblemished driving record are required. All candidates must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and MVR background check. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to push or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 700 pounds safely and efficiently.
The Delivery Driver – Non-CDL is responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of linen carts at both company and customer locations, with correct tagging and documentation for each delivery. You will be expected to complete all paperwork and logs accurately each day, weigh soiled materials appropriately, and ensure that all vehicles are disinfected after each soil pick-up. Maintaining a neat and professional appearance, as well as a clean and orderly vehicle, is essential. Daily pre-trip vehicle inspection reports must be completed and submitted as part of the company’s safety and compliance standards. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support operational requirements.
