As a Delivery Driver – Non-CDL, you will work primarily during second shift hours, typically from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM. You will be expected to work weekends and potentially holidays, depending on operational needs. Your core duties will involve loading and unloading linen carts, completing essential documentation, and ensuring proper handling of all items throughout the delivery process. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of both company vehicles and equipment is critical, as is the ability to communicate any mechanical or customer service issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Successful candidates for the Delivery Driver – Non-CDL role must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. You will be required to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and MVR background check. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull a wheeled cart weighing up to 700 lbs. Delivery Driver – Non-CDL Summary- Responsible for accurate and timely customer deliveries
- Adheres to all company and DOT safety requirements
- Maintains company vehicles and equipment in a clean, organized state
- Follows established policies and procedures for documentation and reporting
- Represents the company with professionalism and attention to detail
- Load and unload linen carts at both company and customer locations, ensuring proper tagging and documentation
- Complete all required paperwork and logs accurately, submitting them daily as required
- Weigh soiled linens under the appropriate customer accounts and transport them to designated areas
- Disinfect vehicles after each soil pick-up to maintain hygiene standards
- Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and submit reports
- Maintain a neat appearance and comply with uniform requirements
- Report mechanical issues to engineering promptly for timely resolution
- Follow all universal precautions and company safety procedures
- Promptly report any customer service or satisfaction issues to management
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
