As part of the Core Linen Services team, the Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) must adhere to all company policies outlined in the employee handbook, including strict attendance and uniform standards. Maintaining a clean driving record is essential, as is the ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and MVR background check. The position requires physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and manage the movement of heavy wheeled carts. Safety is paramount, with the expectation of following all universal precautions, especially when handling soiled materials, and reporting any safety concerns or mechanical issues promptly.
The Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) is tasked with loading and unloading linen carts, ensuring accurate tagging and documentation of each delivery and pick-up. Delivery Driver (Non-CDL) - Summary- Responsible for safe, timely, and accurate delivery of linen products to customers.
- Maintains compliance with all company and DOT standards.
- Works primarily second shift hours, with possible weekends and holidays.
- Upholds company policies, including uniform and attendance requirements.
- Ensures vehicles and equipment remain clean and organized.
- Load and unload linen carts at various locations, tagging each cart appropriately.
- Complete all required paperwork, logs, and daily documentation accurately.
- Weigh soiled linens under correct customer accounts and deliver them to designated areas.
- Disinfect vehicles after each pick-up involving soiled materials.
- Report mechanical issues to the chief engineer in a timely manner.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance, adhering to uniform policy.
- Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and submit reports as required.
- Follow all universal safety precautions and procedures, especially on the soil side.
- Communicate any customer service concerns to management promptly.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed to support operational needs.
