In this capacity, the DB2 Database Administrator will take ownership of end-to-end database migration processes, specifically focusing on transitioning from legacy DB2 for z/OS systems to modern platforms such as DB2 LUW and cloud-based databases. Your expertise will be integral in assessing current database environments, analyzing catalog dependencies, and formulating comprehensive migration strategies designed to support business continuity and drive operational excellence. You will be responsible for building detailed migration plans, conducting risk assessments, establishing rollback procedures, and developing clear implementation roadmaps to ensure seamless transitions with minimal business disruption.

As a DB2 Database Administrator, you will lead schema conversion, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities, leveraging advanced ETL tools to ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the modernization process. Demonstrated experience leading large-scale DB2, VSAM, and mainframe modernization projects is highly valued, as is a strong track record executing successful migrations from mainframe to distributed or cloud-based environments. Familiarity with administering DB2 LUW on Linux and AIX platforms will further enhance your ability to support a wide range of modernization and integration initiatives.
