The Data Visualization Developer (Power BI) plays a critical role in advancing business intelligence and analytics capabilities within a leading organization. This position is dedicated to leading the migration of legacy Tableau reports to Power BI, as well as designing and developing innovative dashboards to empower clinical and quality analytics initiatives. Data Visualization Developer (Power BI) - Summary
- Lead the migration of Tableau reports to Power BI, ensuring seamless transitions and maintaining data integrity.
- Design, develop, and implement advanced dashboards to support clinical and quality analytics efforts.
- Collaborate closely with data engineering and clinical analytics teams to translate business requirements into effective data models and visualizations.
- Act as a key technical product owner, delivering comprehensive business and technical specifications for ongoing analytics initiatives.
- Facilitate requirements gathering with business partners and development teams to align data visualization projects with strategic objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end migration of existing Tableau dashboards to Power BI, ensuring high standards in data visualization and usability.
- Develop new Power BI dashboards, focusing on clinical and quality outcomes reporting, to support business intelligence and performance measurement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—especially data engineering and clinical analytics—to gather requirements and build tailored data models.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable data visualizations that enhance decision-making at all organizational levels.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Power BI, advising on best practices in dashboard design, data modeling, and DAX development.
- Provide technical product ownership by creating detailed business and technical specifications for clinical quality data initiatives.
- Facilitate the analysis and interpretation of healthcare and quality metrics through insightful reporting tools.
- Engage regularly with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and optimize dashboards for accuracy, performance, and user experience.
- Present and communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in business intelligence or data analytics roles.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing dashboards and data models in Power BI, with demonstrated expertise in DAX and visualization best practices.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, SSMS, and dimensional data modeling.
- Experience working in Agile development environments or methodologies.
- Background in healthcare analytics, clinical data, or home health data is preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative, accuracy, and attention to detail in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Required submission of a work sample (Power BI PBIX file or PDF) as part of the application process.
