Data Engineer - Summary
- Contribute to the technical execution of a significant system migration, with a primary focus on data engineering and infrastructure development.
- Engage in the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, cloud-native data pipelines and datalake architectures.
- Support key analytics initiatives by developing ETL/ELT workflows for both structured and unstructured data sources.
- Ensure data quality through robust validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks, particularly for investment and portfolio analytics within the financial sector.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project management activities including planning, testing, and operational readiness.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and workflows to support large-scale system migrations and ongoing data integration needs.
- Design and develop cloud-native data solutions using modern technologies and best practices for data analytics and reporting.
- Develop scalable ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and curate high-volume data from multiple sources.
- Implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance protocols to uphold the integrity of financial and operational data.
- Engage in project coordination by breaking down tasks into Epics and User Stories, and support the project through planning, testing, and go-live phases.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and operational readiness of new data platforms and analytics solutions.
- Provide technical expertise in areas such as Asset Backed Finance (ABF) and mortgage servicing workflows, settlements, remittances, and cash consolidation.
- Contribute to change management initiatives to facilitate smooth transitions and stakeholder buy-in during major system updates.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and workflows in enterprise environments.
- In-depth expertise in Asset Backed Finance (ABF), including mortgage servicing, settlements, remittances, and related financial processes.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for queries, data extraction, and validation; strong Python skills for data transformation and automation scripts.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Snowflake, including architecture design, ELT pattern implementation, and performance optimization.
- Exceptional communication skills with a track record of effectively aligning stakeholders and supporting operational readiness for new technology platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in change management initiatives and project management tasks.
