Data Center Technician - SummaryThe Data Center Technician position is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment within the data center. The role includes managing server and network hardware installations, monitoring critical systems, and participating in change management procedures. Data Center Technicians are also involved in preventative maintenance and production monitoring, ensuring maximum uptime and performance. Duties & Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day data center operations, including the installation and maintenance of server and network hardware components.
- Monitor and respond to hardware and software incidents using industry-standard ticketing systems to ensure quick resolution and minimal downtime.
- Perform technical tasks such as copper and fiber-optic cabling, Layer 1 network troubleshooting, and IT asset management to support infrastructure reliability.
- Participate actively in change management processes, including supporting preventative maintenance activities and ongoing production monitoring.
- Join an on-call rotation, providing after-hours support to address urgent issues and maintain business continuity.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all activities comply with organizational and industry regulations.
