The Data Center Project Engineer plays a critical role in supporting large-scale data center build-out projects by delivering robust physical infrastructure and connectivity solutions. Data Center Project Engineer - Summary- Lead the onsite execution of data center infrastructure projects, emphasizing structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and networking deployments.
- Provide technical leadership and field management for teams of technicians and subcontractors.
- Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure adherence to industry standards and client requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed engineering documentation and project change management records.
- Collaborate across technical, stakeholder, and customer teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support major data center build-outs through hands-on engineering and deployment tasks.
- Install, configure, and validate networking infrastructure and low-voltage systems for enterprise and colocation environments.
- Lead field execution, including the management of quality assurance and control procedures.
- Act as a primary point of contact for customer-facing technical issues during deployment.
- Contribute to engineering documentation, ensuring all changes are tracked and communicated effectively.

- Minimum of 7 years’ experience supporting data center infrastructure deployments in enterprise or colocation environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in structured cabling, including Cat6A and fiber (OM3/OM4/OS2) installation and validation.
- Strong background in networking infrastructure, particularly spine-leaf architectures and switch installation/turn-up activities.
- Field leadership experience with a proven track record of managing technicians and subcontractors.
- Solid understanding of QA/QC processes and experience in customer-facing technical leadership roles.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing complex deployment schedules.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective leadership and client interaction.
