IDR is seeking a Data Center Operator to join one of our top clients in Suwanee, GA. This role involves managing data center environment and infrastructure support with a focus on physical and system monitoring in a technology-driven environment.
Position Overview for the Data Center Operator :
- Perform monitoring and management of data center environment, including power, cooling, fire suppression, and hardware assets.
- Support and administer automated workload processing, including batch scheduling with tools like Stonebranch UAC.
- Handle physical tasks such as racking/unracking servers, structured cabling, and inventory management.
- Respond to hardware emergencies, troubleshooting failures, and coordinating with vendor support.
- Maintain detailed documentation, procedure updates, and operational logs to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
Requirements for the Data Center Operator :
- 35 years of experience in data center facilities management, NOC, or command center environments.
- 12 years of workload automation/batch scheduling administration or Windows Server administration.
- Experience supporting DCIM tools and monitoring platforms (Brightlayer preferred; NetBox/Hyperview or similar ok).
- Calm under pressure; able to follow complex protocols during emergencies/outages; strong observational skills during physical monitoring rounds.
- Self-directed; able to manage small technical projects end-to-end with minimal oversight.
