Data Center Engineer - Summary
- Serve as a key technical resource for data center operations supporting an advanced AI technology client.
- Work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure project success from initial design through implementation.
- Utilize technical and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional service in a highly collaborative environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and implement scalable data center solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Act as a liaison between pre-sales consultants and delivery teams, ensuring smooth project workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex multi-vendor issues involving servers, switches, routers, and cabling systems (including fiber optics and transceivers).
- Oversee cabling installation, fiber optic connectivity, and power balancing to maintain optimal data center performance.
- Support scripting and automation initiatives, leveraging skills in Python, Bash, or Ansible to increase operational efficiency.
- Document all processes and solutions, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization.
- Engage in extensive travel as required by project needs, including periodic extended stays at project sites.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience in data center environments, with strong knowledge of servers, switches, routers, and fiber optic cabling.
- Familiarity with cooling solutions, including experience with liquid cooling systems (preferred).
- Advanced scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or Ansible are highly desirable.
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to technical detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for direct client interaction.
- Ability to travel frequently and adapt to different work environments.
