Data Architect - Summary
- Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and centralized data architectures on modern cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Establish and enforce data management, governance, and organizational standards for information assets.
- Utilize your expertise to build robust data pipelines, manage data lakes and data lakehouse solutions, and ensure seamless data integration across platforms.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data architecture solutions that support business growth and innovation.
- Lead initiatives to migrate legacy systems into modern cloud-based data environments.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines using SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Build and manage APIs and organize data lakes to ensure efficient data accessibility and security.
- Oversee the implementation and management of data lakehouses, particularly leveraging Snowflake and similar technologies.
- Set data governance policies, including data quality, security, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver long-term, scalable solutions.
- Regularly evaluate new tools and frameworks, integrating them as appropriate to support evolving data needs.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing/modeling, cloud platform architecture, and enterprise database design.
- Proficient with SQL and Python scripting, including debugging and optimization.
- Experience building APIs and organizing data lakes in cloud environments.
- At least 3 years of experience building and managing data lakehouse solutions using Snowflake.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software/Computer Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), TOGAF, or Cloud Data Architect certificates (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect), are highly desirable.
