Cybersecurity Project Manager, PMP - Summary
- Lead and manage technical cybersecurity projects from initiation to completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
- Oversee communication, coordination, and accountability for all project-related activities.
- Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement within project teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage projects with internal and external dependencies, overseeing scope, risk, and integration across multiple teams.
- Develop, review, and validate detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures and scope documents.
- Track and report on project milestones, financials, and overall progress to stakeholders and leadership.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in planned versus actual costs, providing robust financial management for assigned projects.
- Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Advise project teams and customers on tactical solutions for overcoming project barriers.
- Lead project meetings, document meeting minutes, and track action items and decisions.
- Actively manage project risks, issues, changes, and dependencies to support successful delivery.
- Mentor junior project managers as needed and foster skill development within the team.
- Facilitate and manage the creation and review of business cases for new initiatives.
- Participate in change initiatives and cross-functional workgroups to drive organizational improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity Project Management.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in IT.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and CompTIA Security+ certifications required within 180 days of hire if converted to full-time employment.
- Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, principles, and controls.
- Advanced proficiency with project management and cost tracking tools, such as MS Project.
- Expertise in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Thorough understanding of Project Management Methodology (PMM) concepts and business process architectures.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose solutions aligned with business strategy.
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to facilitate meetings, document outcomes, and drive accountability.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
