Cybersecurity Engineer Associate - Summary
- Administer and support cybersecurity tools and solutions, such as Zscaler, Netskope Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Palo Alto, and Illumio.
- Monitor and maintain information security devices, safeguards, and event management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture.
- Participate in the identification, troubleshooting, and resolution of security issues.
- Contribute to documentation, compliance reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor, report on, and enhance the performance and utilization of assigned security solutions.
- Manage system and application environments, including configuration, policy management, and operational activities.
- Assist with security incident response, problem management, and troubleshooting of software/hardware issues.
- Resolve security alerts and conduct remediation activities to ensure system integrity.
- Maintain application scripts and utilize tools to manage operational security.
- Track, document, and remediate security vulnerabilities, issues, and requests.
- Support change, request, problem, or escalated tickets on technical security solutions.
- Create and coordinate detailed security reports for audit, management, or business owner requirements.
- Collaborate with other IT areas to ensure timely completion and resolution of security work requests.
- Provide input for process improvement and development of operational documentation.
- Respond to security alerts, assist with on-call support, and participate in audit activities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 3+ years of related work experience (1+ year in cybersecurity and 2+ years in IT infrastructure).
- Experience with Proxy Management, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and secure web gateways (MWGs).
- Direct implementation experience with Zscaler or Netskope SASE solutions strongly preferred.
- Netskope certifications are a significant plus.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and security concepts for network, application, and operating systems.
- Capacity to work independently and proactively seek guidance when necessary.
- Analytical, technical, and strong documentation skills.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, DevOps, risk management, and security best practices.
- Experience with scripting and automating security systems preferred.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows systems is beneficial.
- Familiarity with industry data security, privacy standards, and regulatory requirements.
- CompTIA Network+ certification is a plus.
- Exposure to project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Lean, SAFe) advantageous.
