As a Cybersecurity Architect (CISSP) you will serve as a key advisor on security best practices, leading the design and execution of security strategies, architectures, and solutions that shape the direction of IT security for the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that all technology solutions are secure, aligned with corporate standards, and add measurable value to the business. This role requires deep technical insight, especially in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) security measures, and the ability to stay ahead of evolving cybersecurity trends.

Cybersecurity Architect (CISSP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security architectures for AI and related technologies.
- Conduct due-diligence activities, including security monitoring and metrics analysis, to evaluate the effectiveness of security programs and controls.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce security standards, blueprints, principles, models, designs, and guidelines.
- Participate in project teams to provide input on technology vision, opportunities, and challenges.
- Ensure compliance with corporate architecture standards and contribute to ongoing strategy-setting.
- Evaluate, select, and implement technology solutions, including detailed analysis of options such as build versus buy.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including operational, architectural, and design records.
- Assess security strengths and vulnerabilities, considering aspects such as performance, confidentiality, integrity, availability, and cost of ownership.
- Facilitate smooth project handoffs through thorough documentation, education, and support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues, recommending and executing appropriate action plans.
- Promote adoption of new technologies and methods to enhance business processes, efficiency, and customer value.
- Communicate complex security solutions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Identify, analyze, and rationalize risks to ensure decisions align with business and customer interests.
- Develop working prototypes and solutions, resolving issues as they arise.
- Benchmark technology strategies, monitor trends, and prepare reports and presentations on findings.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in security technology design, architecture, development, and/or monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Current and active CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification required at the time of application.
- Permanent US work authorization.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AI security architecture, including securing locally hosted AI models and understanding of Guardrails integration.
- Passionate about staying current with evolving security AI technologies.
Ideal Candidate Snapshot
- Experienced in designing security architecture for complex IT projects, with at least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Background in cloud security and identity/access management for both employee and consumer identities.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Health care industry experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn, innovate, and adapt to new security challenges and technologies.
