CVICU Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Summary- PRN advanced practice provider position in a leading Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Night shift schedule with three nights per week and call every third week
- Opportunity for professional growth and expansion into the operating room setting

- Provide advanced clinical care for critically ill cardiovascular patients in the CVICU during night shifts
- Perform procedures such as central venous line placement, arterial line insertion, chest tube placement, intubation, and dialysis management
- Collaborate with attending physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Participate in patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Document patient care activities accurately and in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice within the CVICU
- Engage in ongoing education and skill development relevant to cardiovascular and intensive care medicine
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, providing patient and family education as appropriate

- Current and valid Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure
- Certification as PA-C (Physician Assistant-Certified) or NP (Nurse Practitioner), with appropriate state credentialing
- Previous experience in cardiovascular, thoracic, or critical care settings strongly preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with CV lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, intubation, and dialysis procedures
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous professional development
- Enthusiastic and skilled advanced practice provider with a passion for cardiovascular intensive care
- Comfortable with high-acuity patient management and complex procedures
