The essential function of the CVICU Physician Assistant (PA-C) is to admit, evaluate, diagnose, and treat critically ill patients with cardiogenic shock in the ICU setting. Candidates must have a current California license and a strong background in CVICU or Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The ability to manage patients on advanced support devices such as ECMO, VAD, and Impella is required. Additionally, the successful candidate will perform advanced bedside procedures, including arterial and central line placements, under the supervision of an attending physician.
