The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to insurance clients, supporting policyholders with inquiries, and ensuring all communications are handled efficiently and professionally. This role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships, providing timely and accurate information about insurance products and services, and supporting the agency’s mission to inspire customer loyalty.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and greet clients, ensuring each customer feels welcomed and valued.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients by following up on inquiries and providing consistent support.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service related to insurance availability, eligibility, coverage options, policy changes, claim submissions, and billing clarifications.
- Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate clients about insurance options and assist them in making informed decisions.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure seamless service and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support office operations and maintain organized records.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Mandarin or English/Spanish is preferred to better serve a diverse client base.
- Preferred experience in sales, such as outside or inside sales representative roles, retail sales associate, or telemarketing.
- Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills are essential.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and attention to detail.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to assess customer needs and conduct effective interviews.
- Ability to relate to customers and build rapport quickly and effectively.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a Life and Health insurance license.
