Customer Service Representative (CSR) - Summary
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing prompt, accurate, and courteous service to clients, supporting the agency’s core operations, and building strong relationships through proactive communication. This position requires a customer-focused mindset and a commitment to continuous learning in the insurance sector.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Answering incoming phone calls and greeting clients in a professional manner
- Establishing and nurturing customer relationships, ensuring prompt follow-up as needed
- Delivering accurate and friendly service by responding to inquiries on insurance availability, eligibility, coverage, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing matters
- Utilizing a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate clients about insurance options and assist them in making informed decisions
- Documenting all client interactions and updating records to reflect policy changes and customer feedback
- Collaborating with team members to resolve client issues efficiently and maintain high standards of service
- Assisting with administrative tasks as required to support daily operations
- Staying current with ongoing training and licensing requirements as set by the agency and regulatory authorities

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous sales experience is preferred (experience in inside sales, outside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing is advantageous)
