Customer Service Representative - Summary
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients, supporting insurance policy administration, and ensuring positive client experiences. This role involves direct communication with customers via phone, email, and in person to address inquiries, policy changes, and claims. The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in client retention and agency success by building trust and delivering accurate, timely information.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain customer relationships through proactive communication and follow-up.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including responding to inquiries about insurance products, policy eligibility, coverage details, policy changes, transfers, claims submissions, and billing questions.
- Educate customers about available insurance options using a needs-based review process tailored to each client's situation.
- Assist in processing policy applications and supporting documentation as required by the agency and relevant regulations.
- Identify opportunities to recommend additional products or services that align with customer needs and agency offerings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service activities in accordance with agency policies and compliance standards.
- Support agency sales goals by providing information and assistance to prospective and existing clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required by the agency and state licensing bodies.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous sales experience (inside sales, outside sales, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
