Custodian / Janitor - Summary- Responsible for keeping buildings clean, safe, and orderly.
- Performs heavy cleaning duties as part of a dedicated custodial team.
- Works under the direction of a supervisor and follows established procedures.
- Collect and dispose of trash using approved methods and infection control plans.
- Dust and damp mop floors following established cleaning protocols.
- Move equipment and furniture to ensure thorough cleaning and return them to proper locations.
- Sanitize all surfaces using assigned materials and equipment.
- Adhere to the eight-step cleaning procedure for all assigned areas.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Identify and address areas requiring cleaning with initiative and attention to detail.
- Complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and county cleaning guidelines.
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall cleanliness of the facility.
