CT/X-ray Technologist (ARRT, CRT) - Summary
- Dual-modality technologist responsible for conducting both CT and X-ray procedures.
- Operates advanced imaging equipment and follows established safety protocols.
- Serves as a key member of the diagnostic team, ensuring optimal patient care and image quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive range of diagnostic X-ray and CT scans as outlined by physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare, educate, and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture and administer IV contrast agents, monitoring patients for potential adverse reactions.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, including troubleshooting and performing routine quality control checks to guarantee optimal image clarity and safety.
- Independently manage daily caseloads, prioritizing urgent cases and adapting to workflow fluctuations.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to support coordinated patient care and efficient workflow.
- Utilize PACS/RIS systems for image archiving, retrieval, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of patient data.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certifications required.
- Active California State Licensure (CRT).
- Valid California Venipuncture Certification.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Thorough understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and advanced imaging techniques.
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety standards and ALARA principles.
- Proficient in using PACS/RIS and related healthcare information systems.
