CT Technologist (Radiologic Technologist, CT Tech, Rad Tech) - Summary
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) equipment according to established protocols.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and image quality for optimal diagnostic outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients throughout imaging procedures.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for CT examinations, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Review patient histories and physician orders to confirm appropriate imaging studies.
- Operate CT scanners, monitor patient during imaging, and adjust settings as needed for optimal images.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines for patients, staff, and self.
- Document imaging procedures and maintain accurate records in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the maintenance of CT equipment, troubleshooting issues and reporting malfunctions promptly.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to ensure consistently high standards of care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless care and support continuity of services.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with advanced CT training preferred.
- Valid certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with CT certification (ARRT-CT) strongly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by facility policy.
- Demonstrated experience operating CT scanners and performing a variety of diagnostic imaging exams.
- Thorough knowledge of radiation safety, anatomy, and cross-sectional imaging techniques.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
