The CT Technologist, also known as a Computed Tomography Technologist or Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), is a key member of the healthcare diagnostic imaging team. As a CT Technologist, you will serve as a primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through imaging procedures while maintaining a reassuring and professional demeanor. Your technical proficiency will be essential in performing diagnostic exams and processing images for the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). You will also play a leadership role in the department, taking the initiative to oversee operations and provide guidance to staff in the absence of management. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in radiologic technology, hold multiple certifications, and demonstrate a keen attention to detail in all aspects of imaging and compliance.

Quality and compliance are central to the CT Technologist position. You will be actively involved in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities, ensuring that all procedures comply with state and federal regulations. The role also includes critical responsibilities in inventory and equipment management, helping to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Your expertise in managing clinical supplies and equipment will directly impact the department's ability to deliver timely and effective patient care.

CT Technologists are required to have completed an accredited radiologic technology program and possess current licensure, certifications, and permits as required by regulatory bodies. National certifications in at least two imaging modalities (such as ARRT or ARDMS) are essential, along with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA). A minimum of one year of acute clinical radiography experience is preferred, and proficiency with imaging software and computer systems is expected.
